HIGHER is developing the first European energy-efficient, OCP-compliant server modules for cloud and edge infrastructure, combining Arm and RISC-V European processors with fully open-source hardware, firmware and system software.
Project
Objectives
Develop open-source cloud and edge hardware and software modules based on European technologies, and demonstrate them in complete infrastructure deployments.
Deliver the processing and energy efficiency demanded by cloud and edge applications, building on European Arm and RISC-V processors.
Contribute standardized, open-source designs to the Open Compute Project and RISC-V International communities.
Promote the widespread adoption and exploitation of the project results beyond the end of the project.
